Transaction download window-why can't it be in a certain order
In QB online when I go to transaction download page it lists all of my accounts horizontally or on a drop down menu. I have a lot of accounts. I don't understand why in both places they aren't in alphabetical order or numerical order, they are just randomly listed. I waste so much time trying to find an account there when downloading to one specific account. I've asked support, they don't seem to have a solution. It's ridiculous that QB online can't be configured in a meaningful way in that screen. Or can it?

Thanks for visiting the Community forum, @jonesdds. I can share some information about how you can get your accounts sorted out in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
You can follow these steps to choose the accounts you want to download transactions from:
- Go to the Banking menu, then select the Banking tab.
- Select the dropdown beside the bank name.
- Click Reorder accounts hyperlink.
- Click the Pencil icon.
- Drag the accounts you'll want to prioritize to the top.
- Once done, select Save.
See the screenshot below for visual reference:
Furthermore, here are some articles that you can read to help speed up the review process of your online bank transactions:
- Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online

Thank you. It's amazing that when I call support and ask that same question they say it can't be done. Phone support is almost useless.
That being said this is certainly something QB needs to improve on. We should be able to set parameters like Alphabetical or Numerical and have the software put them in the right order. And it should default to that when starting out after a conversion. Took me 30-40 min to do what the software should do. Comeon QB!
