Hi there, knapiks.

Welcome back to the thread to add some clarification about an option to save as a file or import to QuickBooks when using web connect. I'll ensure you're able to view the option that you need it.

When downloading entries with Web Connect, there are two ways to import transactions: inside and outside of QuickBooks Desktop. However, you'll have to use Web Connect outside of QuickBooks Desktop to see the option to download your transactions as a QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) file before importing them into QBDT.

Here's how:

  1. Open a web browser and go to your bank’s website.
  2. Sign in to your bank account using your normal process.
  3. Download your transactions as a QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) file.
  4. After you have the Web Connect file, follow the steps to import it into QuickBooks Desktop.

Please note that every bank has various methods for downloading QuickBooks Web Connect files. If you're not sure how to do it, you'll have to go to your bank's website and look for their steps. If you can't find any, reach out to your bank for advice.

For further details on how downloading transactions from your banks to QBDT works, you can click this article: Download Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

Once everything is good, you can review your entries by adding and matching them in QuickBooks Desktop to avoid double transactions.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to see the detailed steps on how you can reconcile your accounts so they match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know how the call goes. I'm always here if you need anything else or should you have additional questions. Have a great rest of the day.
