DEAR LORD HELP US! 

This is not an issue of which bank to direct our deposits to. 

It is an issue of HOW QuickBooks is Auto Classifying these deposits once they are downloaded.

(not even getting into the new System recorded bs y'all just started).

 

THIS IS THE FIX WE NEED:

ADD THE OPTION TO "TURN OFF AUTO APPLY" for DEPOSITS that are downloaded from our Banks. 

 

We DO NOT want TO HAVE A DEPOSIT AUTO-APPLIED TO ANY CATEGORY OR CUSTOMER! 

 

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHICH CUSTOMER I APPLY A PAYMENT TO. 

THAT REALLY IS THE WHOLE REASON FOR ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE, NO? 

 

I (AND THE OTHER HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ON THIS THREAD)

DON'T WANT YOU TO AUTO-APPLY ANYTHING TO A CERTAIN CUSTOMER.

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHOSE MY CUSTOMER TO APPLY THE DEPOSIT TO!

 

(AND ANOTHER GLITCH IS THAT IF I CHANGE THE CUSTOMER IT IS AUTO-APPLIED TO, YOU THEN CHANGE ALL OF THE OTHER DEPOSITS TO THAT CUSTOMER.)

IF I COULD TURN OFF AUTO APPLY IN QB ONLINE, I WOULDN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM. 

 

JUST ADD THE OPTION FOR AUTO-APPLY TO BE "TURNED OFF."

PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS ACCOUNTING, PLEASE TURN OFF THE AUTO APPLY OPTION IN QB ONLINE.

 

WE ARE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME CHANGING ALL OF THESE DEPOSITS AND WILL HAVE TO LEAVE QB. IT SEEMS YOU PROBABLY DONT CARE THAT YOU LOSE CUSTOMER, BUT IT WOULD BE SO MUCH SIMPLER IF YOU JUST ADDED THIS OPTION TO TURN-OFF AUTO APPLY! 

 

THERE IS NOT A WORK AROUND.

ITS VERY SIMPLY...

JUST ADD THE OPTION TO "TURN OFF AUTO APPLY" TO DEPOSITS THAT ARE DOWNLOADED. 

 

AGAIN, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADD THE OPTION

TO "TURN OFF AUTO APPLY" FOR DEPOSITS THAT ARE DOWNLOADED FROM A BANK AND INTO QUICKBOOKS ONLINE.
