If this is web connect I suspect the .qbo file is formatted the same as the last import. Confirm that this in fact is a new file and use the below instructions to re import. How to re import web connect files
Reloading web connect files. Each transaction within the file contains a unique identifier. With a little manual manipulation you can modify this identifier and reload the file. However, be careful the purpose of this unique identifier to make sure you don't import duplicate entries.
1. Open the web connect file with the text edit.
2. Select edit>find>find and replace.
3. In the search field enter <FITID>
4. In replace field enter <FITID>1
5. Select "Replace All", then done.
6. Import the web connect file into quickbooks (file menu-> Utilities-> import->web connect)
Hello, I want to let you know, this piece of advice has saved me SO MUCH GRIEF. I was literally going crazy, I had to start over my books and nothing would import. I have read this post from you about 2 years ago, wrote it down and used it and somehow never got back here to properly thank you. I praise your name every single time I use this feature, and it just took a little while to dig up the thread again to find your message so I can properly express my eternal gratitude. You may have helped hundreds with this little trick and they may not have come bac to dig up the thread. It is unbelievable how much frustration and grief a little know how can save, a small tip maybe on your end, but it has been HUGE help in my life. So I was again thinking of you this Thanksgiving! THAK YOU!
