You'd want to locate the deposit transaction and delete it. Then, record a transfer transaction in QuickBooks. I can guide you on how to do it.
Here's how to delete your deposit transaction:
- Go to the Banking menu.
- Select Use Register.
- From the Select Account drop-down, choose the account where the incorrect transactions were recorded.
- Click Ok.
- Locate the deposit transaction.
- Right-click on the deposit.
- Pick Delete Deposit.
- Click Ok to confirm.
Now, we can record your transfer transaction accurately. Here's how:
- Click the Banking menu.
- Choose Transfer Funds on the drop-down selection.
- Pick the account you want to transfer the funds from.
- Select the account you want to transfer the funds to.
- Enter the desired amount you want to be transferred.
- Click the Save & Close button.
