Thanks for coming to the Community for help, @daddyspags.
QuickBooks currently doesn’t have a built-in spell check feature. The system uses the one installed on your browser.
If you’re getting a red line under words that are spelled correctly, this can be caused by the change in the language preference settings. Please follow the steps below to verify.
For Chrome:
- Go to the Menu icon and pick Settings.
- Tap the Hamburger icon to show the rest of the menu.
- Select Languages.
- Click on the drop-down arrow under the Language section.
- Choose English (United States).
- For the Spell check, click the drop-down arrow and select English (United States).
For Internet Explorer:
- Open Internet Explorer, then click Tools.
- Tap Internet Options.
- Select Languages, under the General tab.
- Pick Add.
- Select the language you’d like to add.
- Hit OK.
For Firefox:
- Open the browser settings.
- Click the Content tab.
- Under the Languages heading, choose your preferred language.
For Safari:
- Go to System Preferences.
- Select Language & Region.
- Click Preferred Language and select the language you’d like.
Once you got the right setting, make sure to log out and back in for the program to start fresh.
