Banking
Hello there, @rha9.
When downloading/importing a .QBO file from a your bank's website through Web Connect, you may get this error (Quickbooks is unable to verify the financial Institution information for this download. Please try again later.) if:
- The .qbo file provided by your financial institution contains an invalid information or formatting. QuickBooks cannot read the data from your Web connect (.qbo) file.
- Your financial institution does not support import into QuickBooks (fi.intuit.com).
- You're trying to import a .qbo file into an older version of QuickBooks that no longer supports the online banking service.
- Your import file is not the correct file type. Note that QuickBooks only accepts a .QBO file, not a .QFX, .IIF, .CSV, etc.
- You're not on a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop.
To resolve the issue, you can download the file directly from the banks website (outside of QuickBooks).
- Visit your bank's website outside of QuickBooks.
- Download and save the .QBO file to your Desktop.
- Go to the File menu.
- Select Utilities.
- Click on Import, then Webconnectfiles....
- Browse to the file location, choose the file and select Open.
- Follow the import wizard to complete the import.
If the import fails, you may need to duplicate the steps using a sample file. If it works fine, then the issue lies in on your original file. If so, you can start resolving data damage on your company file. However, if it also fails using a sample/test file, you have to contact your financial institution to report the problem and review the .QBO file for errors and self-corrections.
