I recognize the importance of applying a custom field to a manually entered bank deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @OP10. Currently, the platform does not support applying custom fields directly to bank deposits.

To ensure that your request to add a custom field to your manually entered bank deposit is addressed, we suggest submitting feedback. This enables us to record and evaluate your input for potential updates.

Here’s how:

  1. Log into your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestions and feedback.
  4. Click Next to send your feedback.

As a workaround, you can use Class/Location tracking, but please note that it is only available for QBO Plus and Advance subscriptions.

Please also note that starting May 16, 2025, the ability to create new tags will be discontinued, and the Tags feature will become unavailable to both new QBO users and existing users who have never utilized it before.

For existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) users who have previously used Tags, the feature will remain accessible in a limited, read-only format.
