Thanks for alerting us, MichaelinNOVA. I know a solution to get your transactions posted to Cost of Goods sold in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

You can utilize the Reclassify Transactions tool in QBDT to save you time moving your transactions to a specific account. This feature helps correct entries assigned to the wrong accounts or classes. First, make sure to select the fiscal year you want to modify. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
  2. From the Accountant menu, select Client Data Review.
  3. Select Client Data Review.
  4. Click on Modify Review, then select OK.
  5. In the Review Date Range section, click on the date range of transactions you want to review.
  6. In the Review Basis section, choose Accrual or Cash.
  7. Select Modify Review. You’ll see Start Review the first time you use it, and Modify Review for subsequent uses.
  8. In the Account Balances section, find Reclassify Transactions. From the Status dropdown, select In Progress.
  9. Select Close.

When done, follow Steps 2 and 3 in this article to proceed: Accountant tools: Reclassify your client’s transactions.

Once everything is set up, you can reconcile your accounts so they match your bank or credit card statements and get books accurate.
