Hi there, mahalo. Allow me to help you export and import customer information in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, you can export customer information to Excel, make necessary changes, save the file in a required format, and then import it back to QBO.

If you want to export customer data from the Customers page, you can export information such as Name, Company, Complete Address, Phone number, Email Address, Attachment, Open balance:

  1. Go to the Sales tab and select Customers.
  2. Look for the icon located next to the Print icon and click on it.
  3. Then, it lets you export to Excel.

Before importing customer information, carefully review and verify the data. Save the file in CSV, XLSX, or Google Sheets format and ensure files are under 2MB or 1000 rows. If the file is larger than the limit, let's split it into multiple files.

If you're ready to import, follow these steps to proceed:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the gear icon and select Import Data.
  3. Select Customers.
  4. Choose the file you saved earlier, and follow the on-screen steps to import.
