We appreciate you getting back here in the thread, @jaynew. We'll provide the steps for the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application to help you get through this and start printing checks.

If you're using an Android device, here's how:

  1. Ensure the device is connected to a WIFI or internet.
  2. Go to your phone's settings.
  3. Choose QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

In case you're using iOS or iPad, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose the QBO app.
  3. Choose Offload App. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and then reinstall the app. Also, ensure that the application is running the latest version to take advantage of the updates.

In case you're still unable to print checks after performing the troubleshooting, you can contact our Customer Care Team so they can check and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the issue. See this page for more details: QuickBooks Online Support.

In addition, we also suggest checking this article to see available features for QBO mobile app: Compare mobile app features.
