Exactly my thinking. Seems highly illegal that a feature that was so easy to trigger can’t ever be removed from the acct. seems super illegal not to mention hella greedy

Yep same thing here. They’re holding my debit card # hostage and refusing to cancel the instant deposit feature. Amazing how easy it was to activate it and yet it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Total scam. Can’t be legal

Except you are NOT always here to help us. You’re holding our debit cards hostage and refusing to cancel this feature. Should be illegal

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. How can QB such a “reputable” company with such shady and greedy tactics like this one, taking hard earned money from small companies by duping their customers. Shameful

Hi there, Jason.
Once you've upgraded to a faster funding or instant deposit, you won't be able to edit or turn this off in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, you can always turn off the scheduling to avoid instant deposits as instructed in the previous replies.
- Sign in to your QBO account.
- Go to the Gear icon, then click on Accounts and Settings.
- Select the Payments tab.
- Choose Deposit Speed. Then, click Change.
- Remove the check for all the marked days and leave All the days Off.
- Hit on Save schedule.
Another option is to cancel your payment account and resubscribe to a new one. This way, you can start with a fresh deposit schedule. For more information check out these links:
Once completed, connect your new payments account to QuickBooks Online.
If you need further assistance, you can always connecti with our designated Support. This way, a live representative can discuss with you more about deposit schedules and give you ways or options on how to downgrade your deposit speed.
Please let me know in the comment section if you have any follow-up questions about deposit schedules. I'm just a post away to help. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day!

OMG! I am quitting quickbooks online for me & my 10 clients if you don't fix this immediately. Or after 10/17 - tax accountant and all. I have a policy that I am only paid by check. Your policy can't be legal. I am adding this to my "revenge" list if I ever retire. Manipulating and not allowing folks to opt out is unethical at best.

Hello,
I'm not able to find my debit card, and if I can't find it, I have to get a new one. If my old debit card gets deactivated, will I stop having the instant deposit feature? Will I still be charged the instant deposit fee? It will take several days for me to get a replacement, according to the bank.
