Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community for assistance, @chris-daupler-co. Allow me to share information about switching the country version of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
I understand how importing journal entries streamlines your bookkeeping process in QBO. Yes, you're right. This feature is limited to selected countries, like the United Kingdom and Canada.
Due to differences in accounting standards, we're unable to change the country of your QBO. If you wish to do so, you may need to create a new account by going to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/. Then, click the Europe tab and select the United Kingdom.
QBO also supports various applications for any functionality you may need. Since this feature is unavailable in the United States, I recommend utilizing a third-party tool that will allow you to import your journal entries into the program. Here's how:
- Go to Apps and select Find Apps.
- Type the "Import Journal Entry" keyword in the search bar and press Enter.
- Select an app and click Get app now to integrate.
Additionally, we've collected the most frequently asked questions about importing data into QBO to help you obtain thorough information about the process: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Fill me in if you have additional questions about importing journal entries in QBO. We'll ensure to respond as soon as we can. Stay safe and have a good one!
