We can perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve the error 163 on your bank transactions, David.

Error 163 indicates a connection issue between QuickBooks and your bank's website. To resolve the problem, log in to your bank's website directly using a web browser to ensure the site is functional and your login credentials are accurate.

Additionally, you'll also need to update your bank sign-in information to fix the error.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab in the left-hand menu, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the bank account whose sign-in information needs to be updated.
  3. Click the pencil icon on the bank account tile.
  4. Select Edit sign-in info.
  5. Enter your new bank username and password, then select Save and connect.
