We appreciate you joining us in the thread, gthgrl. I'm pleased to discuss information regarding the ability to import bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Please know that connecting Google Sheets to QBO is currently unavailable. You can only connect to Spreadsheet Sync to work with your data simultaneously if you have QBO advanced, which requires an Office 365 edition of Excel and isn't applicable for bank transactions.
In the meantime, you can download your bank statements and look for a third-party application to convert them into a CSV file to meet the system requirements for importing bank transactions. After that, here's how you can upload them into the software:
- Head to the Gear icon, then Chart of Accounts.
- Look for the account you want to upload the transactions into and click View register.
- Pick a start date based on your oldest transaction.
Since you already have your bank transactions ready, you can proceed to this article and scroll down to Steps 3 and 4 to complete the importing process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, you can scan these resources for guidance on reviewing your transactions and post them to the appropriate accounts:
- Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online
