Hello jsupple,
Thanks for getting back to us.
When you import sales transactions from Square to QuickBooks, they are added as "Square Item" by default. This item is mapped to a specific income account in your chart of accounts, which helps you track your sales revenue more efficiently. To change the account the Square Item maps to:
- Click on the Sales and select Products & services.
- In the Find products and services field, search for Square Item.
- Under the Action column, select Edit.
- In the Income account dropdown menu, select the income account you want Square sales to record to.
- Tick box to update historical transactions.
- Select Save and close.
These steps should help you edit the income account for Square transactions in QuickBooks Online. Let me know if you need further assistance.
