In this case where a transaction does not occur regularly, I would suggest utilising the "Copy" function in QuickBooks Online. To make a copy of any invoice previously created:

Need to make a copy of an Invoice?
Follow these steps below:
- Click Sales in the left hand menu
- Select Invoices
- Click on the Invoice you wish to Copy
- Click More at the bottom of the page and then Select Copy
