We were not made aware of this outage in advance. The only scheduled maintenance communicated by QuickBooks is not until August 30th at 8:00 AM, so today’s disruption feels both unexpected and unacceptable.

Our employees are panicking because their automatic payments will not clear their bank accounts today. This has already led to threats of not reporting to work, which directly impacts our ability to operate and fulfill jobs. In addition, employees are holding us responsible for any penalties or fees they may incur from missed or delayed payments.

This is not simply an inconvenience—it’s a serious financial and operational risk to our business. We need immediate clarity on:

  1. When a fix will be implemented today.

  2. What options we have in the meantime to ensure employees are paid.

  3. Whether QuickBooks intends to compensate businesses for losses caused by this outage.

QuickBooks Payroll is a service we rely on to ensure trust and stability for our workforce. This situation undermines both. We urge QuickBooks to provide timely, transparent updates and solutions.
