It's sad to hear that you're considering discontinuing your use of QuickBooks. If you decide to sign up for QuickBooks again in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us.
However, since you want to export all your data files from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) for backup purposes, I've provided some relevant information below to assist you.
There are several ways to access transaction information in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can navigate to the Reports menu to generate financial reports. If you're looking for a detailed list of all your transactions, you can export them into a CSV file. Here’s how to do that:
For financial reports you can follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Reports menu in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
- Locate the desired report for download.
- Choose the specific period or tax year from the dropdown menu.
- Click on View or Download.
- Click the arrow icon ▼, then select Print or Download.
Download your transactions
- Access the Transactions menu.
- Utilize the Type, Account, and Time Period dropdowns to filter the transactions.
- Click on the Export icon. Note: Receipts are not included in the export. To download receipts, access them through specific transactions or navigate to the Reports menu to download all receipts for particular tax years.
Tip: For modifying or reorganizing your transactions, it's recommended to use QuickBooks Self-Employed directly. Keep in mind that if you reimport the CSV, certain details, such as categories, may not display properly. You will need to recategorize your transactions following the import.
To export mileage data from QuickBooks:
- Navigate to the Mileage section.
- Utilize the Type, Tax Year, and Vehicle filters to select the specific mileage data you want to export.
- After making your selections, click on the Download icon located next to the filters.
Here's how to export your tax information:
- Navigate to Reports.
- From there, you have the option to download various reports such as your profit and loss statement, collected receipts, tax summary, and tax details.
- For each report, use the filter to select the period for which you want to export data.
- Next, click on Download. If the Download link is not immediately visible, click on the dropdown arrow and then select Download.
