A while back I accidently said yes to the passkey promt, and it linked my QBO account to my windows sign-in ( I agree with other comments that I cannot see how this is an "Increase" in security) - any-who, I wanted to turn this off, and I followed the instructions here - https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/multi-factor-authentication/use-passk...
Note that the little nugget of missing info in these instructions is that you must select "Manage Your Intuit Account" from the user icon (next to the settings) in QBO in order to sign in to your Intuit Account
There is a section in the instruction on how to delete a linked passkey - I followed this, it removed the inadvertently linked windows sign-in. This great thing is that it no longer pesters me about setting up a passkey - I can once again just log onto QBO.
I hope this approach works for others - if not, lucky me.
