Why does one resource say files can be accessed without renewing the subscription and the other says you cannot access files? Can you USE the files without getting security updates or not?

We understand that circumstances change, and sometimes it's necessary to make adjustments. But before you cancel, familiarize yourself with our cancelation policies.
Important: If you missed your payments, the system automatically puts your file on hold for a week. The timeframe is from the date/time the system detects your subscription is inactive.
When this happens, you won't be able to open your file until you either renew your subscription or set it up for view-only mode. The view-only mode will last for a year until you process a repayment.
