Account management
My main goal is to keep your Chart of accounts organized, Flopbot. I'm here to clear up any confusion about creating subaccounts.
QuickBooks Online allows you to add more than five (5) subaccounts under one main account. However, you can only create up to 5 sub-account levels (including the parent). For visual reference (what I'm referring to), I've added a screenshot below.
If you want to create additional subaccounts, I suggest browsing this article to learn more about the process: Create subaccounts in your Chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, I've added several resources you can visit to keep your Chart of accounts organized:
- Make accounts inactive
- Add an account to your Chart of accounts
- Use account numbers in your Chart of accounts
Finally, it is important to monitor the usage limits of your QuickBooks Online account to determine the maximum number of things, like users, accounts, or tags, you can add to the program (this depends on your subscription).
You can always get back on this thread if you need assistance creating accounts, tracking transactions, or running financial reports. I'm ready to help you out.
