Thanks for getting back to the thread, @asroberts.

 

Since your books were already closed, deleting the billable time entries will automatically affect your financial records. If you wish to delete them, follow the steps provided by my colleague above. 

 

Then, you can proceed with these steps to inactivate your customers:

 

  1. From the Sales menu, select Customers.
  2. Click the customer's name to open their profile.
  3. Select the drop-down arrow next to Edit.
  4. Choose Make inactive. Then confirm by selecting Yes, make inactive.

 

In addition, you’re unable to delete a customer with unbilled charges if:

 

  • Track expenses and items by customer and Make expenses and items billable preferences are disabled.
  • A charge, credit, or billable expense attached to the customer you’re trying to delete has no invoice.

 

To know which action you should take to accomplish your task and clear the old-time charges, I suggest reaching out to our accountant. They can provide you with the right guidance to ensure your records are accurate.
