Account management

I'm here to help you back up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to your computer, fwrightson.

The ability to download your entire company file with the backup functionality is possible in QBO. However, this feature is only available in the QBO Advance subscription.

If you're not using this version, you can consider upgrading your account to access this. But if you have this subscription, I'm here to guide you on backing up your file.

  1. Sign in to the QBO Advanced company you want to back up as an admin
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Back up company.
  3. Click Backup from the menu, and select New Manual Backup.
  4. Choose the Company you want to manually backup.
  5. From the Backup Type dropdown, select FullIncremental, or Complete
  6. Select Request Backup.

For a more detailed process on the steps mentioned, please refer to this article: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.

In the meantime, you download and export your data from QBO, and then import them to another account.

To export your report or list:

  1.  Hover to the Gear icon and select Export data.
  2. On the Reports tab, set the date range.
  3. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by turning the switch on or off.
  4. Select Export to Excel.
