Account management
I hear you, @Lorraine MN. Let me walk you through exporting your data in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) so you can have a copy of your financial records.
When your QBDT subscription expires, the view-only access remains for one year. However, this option is available in QBDT for Windows 2023 R3 and newer.
To keep your accounting data, you don't need to go back and print out everything since you can export your information before your subscription expires. This way, you can use the data to send to your accountant for IRS audits. Here's how:
- Go to Reports and select Reports Center.
- Double-click the report to export.
- Select the Excel dropdown, then Create New Worksheet or Update Existing Worksheet.
- If you see a message that says your report has too many columns, click Advanced, then uncheck the Space between columns checkbox. Select OK.
- Once done, select OK.
I'll also share these articles for your guide:
- Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.
- Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.
Furthermore, you can manage your QBDT account and subscriptions with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs).
Stay in touch if you have additional queries about your QBDT subscription, and we'll get back to you right away to assist you. Take care, and have a good one.
