Account management

Hello, @Kevin2024.

Let me provide you with some information regarding the process of adjusting the dates of past invoices.

Enabling the Use current date as default for new transactions setting automates the process by having QuickBooks enter today's date for new transactions while leaving it unchecked allows for continuity of dates from previous transactions.

If this doesn't fix the problem, you can run the Verify and Rebuild tool to help identify if this is a data integrity problem. Here's how:

  1. Select File, then select Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then select OK to close all windows.
  3. If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check,” you need to rebuild your file to fix any errors or data damage that's found.
  4. Select File, then select Utilities.
  5. Select Rebuild Data, then select OK to close all windows.
  6. QuickBooks will ask you to make a backup before rebuilding your company file, select OK. If you don’t want to do a backup, select Cancel to continue rebuilding your company file.
  7.    a. If you haven’t set up any backup preferences, QuickBooks will ask you to update
  8.      them. Select Backup Preferences and edit as needed, then select OK.
  9.    b. When the backup's finished, select Show in Finder to locate the backup or select OK if you’re done.
  10. Once the rebuild is finished, select OK.

It's also best to ensure that you have the latest features and fixes available. Let me add this reference in updating your QBDT for Mac 2022 software: Update QuickBooks for Mac to the latest release.
