Thank you for the quick reply but this did not help.
- QB Mac 2024 does not have Preferences but it has Settings.
- There is no Date or Time setting in the Setting menu
- Under Settings > Transactions, there is an option that states "Use current date as default for new transactions" but it was unchecked. I tried to check that and restart quickbooks but it was the same. In both situations I entered the date and hit Enter instead of moving to another field using tab or mouse but it did save the transaction with today's date again. Basically it will change it to today's date instantly and then save the transaction.
I am stuck and don't know how to record an older date than today's date for my transactions or invoices.
