Account management

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, Amy Jane.

To confirm my understanding, are you trying to link your Venmo account for payment processing or online banking?

If you're trying to link Venmo for online banking, I'd recommend signing in on your bank's website and checking for any security updates, messages, etc. Sometimes they change some of their processes and add new security measures which can cause issues with connections to third parties, like QuickBooks. If you see any updates or notifications, be sure to acknowledge and address them, then return to QuickBooks and try linking the account again.

Here's how:

  1. In your left navigation bar, go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Click Link Account.
  3. Enter the URL or name of your bank in the Search field.
  4. Choose your financial institution. If you can't find the bank, you can manually upload transactions.
  5. Enter your log in credentials in the Login and Password fields and hit Continue.
  6. Pick an account you want to connect and date to pull transactions from your Drop-Down (▼) icon.
  7. Press Next, then choose an account type from the Account type ▼ drop-down and click Next again.
  8. Map your account in the Existing accounts ▼ drop-down, then hit Next.
  9. Select Connect, then Done.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about connecting Venmo to QuickBooks which may come in handy moving forward:
