Hi there, @dollyc. I recognize your need for the feature of changing the default service item to track your sales and the hours worked in QuickBooks Time.
In the meantime, I recommend sending us feedback so our product engineers know about it. We closely monitor the submissions and take them into consideration when prioritizing software development.
Here's how to send via QuickBooks Workforce (formerly QuickBooks Time mobile app):
- Click the Help (?) button in the top right part.
- Select Suggest Idea.
- Enter Your Email and Idea.
- Hit Send Idea. I'll add a snapshot for reference:

Here's how to submit via the QuickBooks Time computer app:
- Go to help.tsheets.com.
- At the bottom, select Suggest an idea.
- Enter your idea, then hit Post a new idea or Vote for an existing idea.
- Optional: Choose a category.
- Describe the idea, and click on Post idea.
