Account management
I'm glad that you've considered editing the category amounts as an important function for your business. I'll guide you on how to send feedback for your custom categories, Dali748.
You'll use a Schedule C form to report your self-employed income and expenses. Thus, every time you categorize a transaction, QuickBooks Self-Employed matches it to a line on your Schedule C and that's the reason why you're unable to view them in your custom categories in your Profit and Loss and Business and personal expenses reports.
You'll want to let our product team know how this is helpful for your business by sending feedback. This will help improve your experience while using the program. To do so, you can follow the steps below:
- Go to the Assistant menu.
- In the Type something... field, type in Submit Feedback.
- Select the Add a feature option.
- Type in your recommendation in the Type something... field after the Got it. What would you like to see added? question and click Enter.
- Click Yes to confirm.
I've added this handy article to give you a general guide and help you prepare your taxes: QuickBooks Self-Employed Annual Tax Guide.
Drop your comment below if you have any questions about reports or categories. I'll always be right here to help you.
