Account management

Nice to have you in the Community space, Jeff. I'm here to provide a workaround to this bank transaction syncing issue you encountered in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First off, can you please share the name of your financial institution? This way, I can check to see if there are any ongoing issues with your bank on my end.

The syncing of bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) will depend on your financial institution. Thus, I suggest importing your bank transactions from the 16th through the latest date for each month to QBO.

We can use the CSV file from your bank's website to continue bringing them to QuickBooks. Just make sure it's in the correct format and that the maximum file size is 350 KB before you upload it. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu on the left pane.
  2. From the Banking tab, select the blue tile for the account to which the transactions will be uploaded.
  3. Select the Link account drop-down arrow, and then click Upload from file.
  4. Tap on Browse and select the file you downloaded, then select Continue.

  5. In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then click Continue.
  6. Match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then choose Continue.

  7. Select the transactions you would like to import, then click Continue.
  8. Tap on Yes, then click Done.
