Account management
It's nice to see you joining the thread, @gerdgoebel. I'll outline a couple of handy details about your login concerns.
Yes, we can change your login settings for QuickBooks Desktop Premier in just a few clicks. I'd be glad to show you how:
- Go to the Company menu, then select Set Up Users and Passwords.
- Click Manage Login Settings and go to General.
- Enable the Keep user logged in for option in the Company Preferences window.
From there, the admin chooses how long users can remain logged in, with a maximum of 90 days and a default of 2 days.
Once enabled, going to File, then Close Company will only close the company file and not log off the user.
If you've shut down your QBDT, you'll only be required to enter your username and password again if you've logged off or the set period has expired. Otherwise, you'll be automatically logged in.
For more information about managing your login settings, you can review this article: Stay logged in to your QuickBooks company file and sign in without entering your password.
Stay in touch if you have any other questions or if you have any other login issues with your QBDT. We're always here to guide and assist you whenever you need help. Keep safe always.
