As of today, Intuit will no longer sell or support point-of-sale.
If you have a license to the software and do not use Intuit’s payment system, you can continue using point-of-sale. It’s important that you have copies of the most recent release patch files in case you need to install on a new machine. Intuit will not provide them.
You also need a merchant service that works with the point of sale software. I found a company that does this. At least my clients have more time to decide where and when to migrate their point of sale.
Intuit is recommending Shopify, but we need time to do a full needs analysis to determine the best course of action.
