Hi there, @Dallgal. I'll be happy to discuss the difference between QuickBooks Desktop 2022 and QBDT 2021.
To begin, know that QBDT 2022 uses 64-bit advanced processing power. That said, its latest program lets the user utilize the full capabilities of the program. It also improves the performance and stability of the program. On the other hand, the QBDT 2021 only uses 32-bit processing power. Although older than the 2022 version, it can still help you get the job done.

Also, I'd like to add that each QuickBooks Desktop program has a three-year lifespan only. That said, once you've reached your 3rd year using the program, it'll expire, but you can still access your data. You can also perform basic tasks within that expired program. However, you won't be able to perform tasks that require the use of the internet, like processing payroll and other things you used to do.
