Account management
Hi Tony-1936,
Each user has their own Intuit account associated with their email. That account has a username and password that they will use for all QBO companies to which they are added as a user.
If your new user doesn't remember the password of his Intuit account, he needs to reset it. Then, you can delete the pending invitation in your QBO and re-invite him again.
You can share these steps with him:
- Open this link using in a browser: https://accounts.intuit.com/account-recovery.html
- Enter his user ID or email address and click Continue.
- Choose where he wants to receive the OTP (One-Time Password) to verify his account.
- Enter the code in the box provided, then let him follow the on-screen instructions to recover his account. Once done, reinvite the user.
I just want to reiterate that emails and login credentials belong to the Intuit account, not to the subscriptions (QBO, QBO Payroll, Merchant services, etc).
Here's a related article about resetting a password: Reset or change your login information for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Accountant, and Quic.... In this case, a user will log in to QBO or the company that he has access to, then update his password.
I'm only a comment away if you need help throughout the process. Take care and have a good one!
