Account management
Hello there, LStevens1. I want to ensure you'll be able to link your Capital One Account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Before proceeding to the troubleshooting steps, may I know the QuickBooks version you're using? Any additional information is a great help so I can provide a timely solution.
If you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and you can't see the Bank Feeds option, I'd recommend running the verify and rebuild utility. This determines and self-resolves the most common data issues within your company file. Let me guide you on how:
- Click the Window tab and select Close All.
- Next, go to the File menu and select Utilities.
- Select Verify Data.
- If you see the message "Your data has lost integrity". Let's proceed with rebuilding your file.
- Go back to the File menu and choose Utilities.
- Select Rebuild Data.
- You'll receive a warning message to backup your company file, and click OK.
- As soon as the backup is finished, the rebuild will start.
- Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".
Reviewing your accounts to ensure that your real-life bank and QuickBooks balances are in sync is a breeze. This can be done by performing the reconciliation process. Once finished, you can also pull up a reconciliation report that you can save to serve as a reference to avoid reconciliation issues in the future.
Stay in touch if you have any other banking concerns. Don't hesitate to post again here. I'm just a few clicks away to help. Have a good one.
