Let me make sure everything clear about the added security feature for your QuickBooks account.

 

Multi-factor authentication is a security enhancement on top of your usual password requirement. This is a ONE-TIME verification where-in you will receive confirmation code if ever you will be logging in to a new device.

 

On the other hand, the Two-step verification is also an added layer of security in which you will also receive a confirmation code each time you access your account.

 

That being said, turning off the Two-step verification will enable the usual multi-factor authentication.
