Account management

I'll help you sort this out, @LRivera.

You can reenter or change your phone number to isolate this issue by clicking the Change link beside the phone number.  These steps will help us identify if it is caused by a system flaw.

Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to accounts.intuit.com.
  2. Select Sign in & Security.
  3. Go to the Phone section.
  4. Click Change.
  5. Enter the phone number and password then hit Save.
  6. Click Continue to verify the phone number.
  7. Enter the code and Continue.

Once verified, this will turn on the two-step verification automatically. You can then Turn off this feature in the Two-step verification section in the Sign in and security settings.

You can reference this article for more details: Turn on or turn off two-step verification.

Also, you may want to prolong the number of hours to stay signed in with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, QBO won't have to sign you out after being inactive for an hour.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Gear and then select Account and Settings.
  2. On the Advanced settings, click the Pencil icon for Other preferences.
  3. Change the Sign me out if inactive for section to 3 hours or 2 hours.
  4. Then Save.

If it automatically logs you out from the system in a few moments or it persists, I'd encourage contacting our Care Support team to report this issue. From there, they'll create documentation about this case and submit it to our Product Engineers to fix this in no time.

Feel free to place a comment if you have other concerns with your QBO account. I'm always here to help. Stay safe!
