I can guide you on how to update the legal business address with QuickBooks Assisted Payroll.
With Assisted Payroll, Intuit won't change your legal address, you must submit the change directly to the IRS.
Here's how:
- Download the Assisted Legal Name change form.
- Complete the form (signed and dated), then print it. If you're also going to change your Intuit account name which is your business name known to us, check the box under the new fax number field.
- Upload your completed and signed form.
The next time you process your payroll, your company name will automatically update in QuickBooks Desktop.
