Account management
Greetings, gstuart.
Helping you preserve your records in QuickBooks Online is my priority.
Deleting the transaction will remove the original and voided check permanently.
To preserve the voided and re-issued check in the system, ensure you're not deleting any of it. However, if you accidentally removed the transactions, you can always re-create them.
You can access the transaction's Audit History to see what was the original amount and items listed. You can follow the detailed steps provided by my peer above in accessing the Audit Log section.
To know more about the Audit Log report, check out this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online. It provides more details on what other information you can find in this log as well as a brief video to serve as your visual reference.
Additionally, I recommend visiting this link: Account Management. These will provide links about managing your QuickBooks Online account, income, expenses, inventory, and running reports.
Leave a comment below should you have other questions regarding deleting and voiding checks in QuickBooks Online. I’ll be around to help. Keep safe.
