Account management
Let me help you change the start date, @Lauriejo.
You can select the first month of the 2020 fiscal year. It will assign the first day of the month automatically.
Let me guide you through the steps:
- Click Company.
- Select My Company.
- Click the Pencil icon in the COMPANY INFORMATION section.
- Go to the Report Information tab, then select the first month of your Fiscal Year.
Also, I'll add this article for more insights in creating a new record for accounting in QuickBooks: Enter opening balances for accounts in QuickBooks Desktop. It covers how to handle pending or outstanding payments.
Additionally, you and your accountant will need to complete specific tasks in closing out the year and prepare for this new year. You can check our QuickBooks year-end guide to learn more.
Please let me know if you have other questions in mind. I'm here to help anytime. Have a great day ahead!
