Account management

You'll want to uninstall and reinstall your QuickBooks, @CTD.

This process will fix company file issues. Let me guide you through how.

To begin with, let's first gather your QuickBooks information.

  1. Download the installer for your version of QuickBooks.
  2. Keep your license number handy. Then, write down your product year and version.

Then, let's uninstall your program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Windows Start menu, and search for “Control Panel”.
  2. Choose Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. Select your QuickBooks Desktop from the list.
  4. Click Uninstall/Change and then Remove.
  5. Hit Next and follow the steps that will guide you through the rest.

After that, install QuickBooks using clean install. Please refer to this article for the detailed steps: Install QuickBooks Desktop.

Once done, open your QuickBooks and check if you're still getting the pop-up. I'm also sharing with you this awesome article about fixing QuickBooks Desktop install errors for additional reference.
