I'd be glad to show you how to enter the discount on advance bill payment, lmeyers.

 

You can create an account for the discount and then apply it when you enter the payment against the bill. Let me show you how to do that.

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) comapny, go to the Vendors menu.
  2. Select Pay Bills and check the box for the bill you want to pay.
  3. Click on the Set discount button.
  4. Search for the Discount account, you can also click Add New if the income account is not yet listed. (Enter the details in creating an account)
  5. Hit Done and then select Pay Selected Bills button.
