Account management
Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @edarr.
I can get this fixed for you in no time. However, we need more information about the issue to provide the right resolution and to get this sorted out promptly.
Since you've mentioned that you're the only user and the admin in QuickBooks, the error message may be coming from the computer. It could be that your login doesn't have full control or access to the installed application in the system.
I suggest reviewing the user right from your control panel or seek further assistance from an IT guy. While waiting for the details, you can try double-checking your user type within QuickBooks Desktop.
Here's how:
- Click the Company tab at the top menu bar.
- Hover your mouse to Users.
- Select View Users.
I've also included some articles in case you need some ideas about customizing user login and restrictions: QuickBooks Desktop Users and Restrictions.
If you have additional questions or concerns while working in QuickBooks, leave a comment below. I’ll be happy to help you out.
