Compliance with what law or regulation?
More specifically, what law would be breached if QuickBooks does not force users to use a password?
I can claim that visitors to my office must stand on their heads and sing God Save the Queen "for compliance" but unless there is a law that requires it, I'd just be making it up.
If QuickBooks Desktop is installed on a computer that requires a password to log in and has an encrypted drive, the only thing your password requirement does is irritate users.
