Account management

Intuit created QBSE as a quick and dirty solution, without regard to the real, future needs, rope you in at $5/moth then at the first quarter you'll be told you need to do quarterlies and then they'll move you from $5/moyh to $17 (yep, the $12 price is only good for the first 3 months you own QBSE). You doin't need the tax bundle until after the third month). And QBSE it is a misnomer. It was intended to be a cheap solution, with a path to taxes as well, to grab market share for those who suddenly find themselves "self-employed" in the new Uber/Lyft/Instacart/Amazon Prime delivery market. It is a separate profit center with lowered overhead, no phone number to call, and no advance revealing that you can't upgrade easily. Worse, the mileage tracking is only available in QBSE, NOT in any of the other products. It is really not a complete product for most selective-employed people as the features are so minimal, you'd have a hard time keeping track of customers, jobs, inventory, etc. It probably works fine for those who only drive for a living. And don't think you can down grade from one level of QBSE to another; they told me you'd have to start over, with a new account. I WOULD NOT suggest QBSE until Intuit gets it act together and integrates the apps, and even offer mileage tracking for all their apps.
