Yes you're right, you can't proceed on deleting a recurring template since this feature is not included in the Simple Start Version. Let me help figure out what you'll need to do to delete this recurring template.
If you converted your data from QB Desktop within or less than 60 days, then you can still delete the recurring template in QuickBooks Desktop. Once deleted, you can export that data back to QuickBooks Online to replace the previous one. However, if it is already more than 60 days, I'd suggest contacting our phone support so they can help delete this template using one of their tools.
That should do it. Once this template is deleted, I'm positive you can go ahead and mark your account as inactive in QuickBooks Online.
