Account Management

Here I am two years after starting to save attachments and just learning that in fact my daily back ups don't save the attachments.  I learned this as I am migrating from old hard drive to a new hard drive.  I have been on the phone with QB support for I guess about 4 or 5 hours over 3 business days.  QB Support was directing me and I only did what they told me to do.  Apparently my "attach" folders aren't in the company file.  He couldn't figure out how to place them in the company file and suggested we start over.  Well we went into my old computer to copy them and now there is a sync error and I can't get them.  There was no sync error before this started and the support guy basically said as nicely as possible he can't do anything more and I have to do it manually and rushed off the phone.  He didn't even explain how to do it manually.  What would you suggest?  I am at wit's end.
