Thanks for reaching out here. Welcome! It sounds as though you may have added your accountant as a regular user on your QuickBooks Online account. If this is the case, you can delete the user and then add them as an accountant. I'd be happy to help!
Follow these steps to view and remove users on your account;
1. Select the Settings
2. Open the Users tab
3. Hit Delete in the Action column
Here's how to invite an accountant to your books;
1. Open your Settings
2. Click on the Accounting firms tab
3. Enter the accountant's email address, then hit Invite. Follow the prompt to verify your account.
4. Your accountant will be sent an email with a link to sign into your QuickBooks Online company.
5. Their status will remain as Invited on the Manage users page, until they sign in. After accepting the invitation, their status changes to Active.
