Hello JLW10,

The security of your information is of the utmost importance to us, and we always have measures in place to protect it. I appreciate wanting to know more about that, especially in situations where we ask for identifiers like photo ID, and I'd be happy to shed more light on why we ask for this when you're getting set up as a ProAdvisor for QuickBooks.

The ProAdvisor service is intended to help customers connect with accountants that can help them with their books and help those accountants connect with more clients. It's vital that the information shared on our ProAdvisor listings is accurate, and part of how we ensure this is by verifying the information you provided us against your photo ID. Our system hangs onto this information for 14 days during this process, and it's then deleted.

While it's in our system, your photo ID is encrypted on our servers, which have layers of protection like antivirus software and more. This is highlighted in our Learn about ProAdvisor profile and Find-a-ProAdvisor guidelines article if you'd like to read more about this process.

Should you have other concerns that you'd like to address or you'd like to learn more about Intuit's security measures, I recommend the following links.

I hope this helps to set you mind at ease. Don't hesitate to use the Intuit Security Centre link to get in touch with that team if you'd like a more in-depth discussion. Take care!
